Bublr Bikes at Upcoming Community Meetings
Throughout the spring and summer, I’ve been pedaling around Milwaukee’s near north and south sides, introducing residents to bike share and offering them a chance to hop on the bike and take it for a spin. We want your input on future station locations, pricing, and other general concerns. Designing and implementing Bublr Bikes has been and continues to be a truly collaborative effort and we intend to continue that approach so that everyone in Milwaukee can use it.
In May, I began meeting with community residents and stakeholders at various events on Milwaukee’s north and south sides. This includes meetings with local Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), appearing at community events (such as the June 21st Southside Bicycle Day at Kosciuszko Park and Mobile Bike Hubs held at various south side locations by the Layton Boulevard West Neighbors association), and even popping in at a Discovery World urban bicycling camp in mid-July. In addition to in-person appearances, I’ve also created a simple survey (available on-line here in both English and Spanish) to collect feedback on a variety of issues, such as:
Where would you like a bike station in your neighborhood?
What, if any, are your concerns with using bike share?
What do you think of Bublr Bikes’ pricing for 24-hour passes and annual memberships?
I’ve got a full slate of free public meetings and events scheduled for August and September and I’d love to see you there! I’ll be at most of the public libraries in Milwaukee, including Forest Home Library on Monday, August 11th 6-7 pm; the Central Library on Monday, August 18th 6-7 pm; Washington Park Library on Monday, August 25th 6-7 pm; and many others! Drop me a line if you’re interested in having Bublr Bikes at your next neighborhood association meeting or community event. I can be reached at 414-305-6923 or Nancy@BublrBikes.com.
